Realme is set to make a splash in the smartphone market with a special edition of the Realme 12 Pro, developed in collaboration with luxury watchmaker Rolex. Designed by renowned luxury watch designer Ollivier Saveo, the premium mid-range smartphone boasts a sophisticated appearance, featuring a rounded back with a dark blue leather-look surface complemented by gold accents. The design draws inspiration from the Rolex Oyster Perpetual wristwatch, with a distinctive round camera module housing three cameras and showcasing a dark blue color gradient.
The camera setup includes a periscope telephoto lens, indicated by the rectangular lens, promising 120x zoom capabilities, albeit likely reliant on digital zoom. The Realme 12 Pro is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED display for a visually immersive experience. In terms of camera specifications, the Realme 12 Pro+ (the series' flagship model) is expected to feature a triple camera system, comprising a 64 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8 MP telephoto camera. Under the hood, the smartphone is reported to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, placing it in the mid-range category. Despite its mid-range classification, Realme aims to offer impressive configuration options, including up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of flash storage. While the official launch date is yet to be confirmed, hints from the watch's date complication suggest a potential announcement on January 28.
